Beyt Al Salaam is a small boutique hotel occupying a restored three-storey Arab merchant's house on Stone Town's historic Kelele Square, about 100 yards from the waterfront. Formerly known as Beyt Al Chai and opened as a hotel in 2004, it has ten individually decorated en-suite rooms furnished with antiques, plus a rooftop restaurant serving a fusion of Zanzibari and European cuisine.
