About Zanzibar.today
What this platform is, who runs it and what it is for.
Zanzibar.today is a local marketplace and directory for Zanzibar: businesses, jobs, things for sale, services, events, tours, places to stay, property and vehicles, in one place and in two languages.
The platform is a place where people find each other. It is not a party to what they then agree. When you book a tour, take a job or buy something through a listing here, the agreement is between you and the other person — and the pages in the footer explain what that means in practice.
We are based in Zanzibar and the platform is built for how business is actually done here: in Kiswahili as much as in English, on a telephone as much as on a computer, and often on a connection that is not fast.
