Zanzibar Palace Hotel is a nine-room boutique hotel in a restored historic house in the Kiponda quarter of Stone Town, a short walk from the seafront. Each room is individually decorated in Swahili style with carved dark wood, stained glass and antique furnishings, reflecting the building's origins as a merchant's residence dating to 1904. Under long-standing independent management, the hotel has a small pool, an à la carte restaurant and an on-site spa.
