Jozani Forest, part of Jozani-Chwaka Bay National Park, is Zanzibar's only national park and the last significant remaining area of the island's native groundwater forest. It is best known as the home of the Zanzibar red colobus monkey, found nowhere else in the world and classified as endangered. A typical visit includes a guided forest walk to see the colobus troops (often at close range, since they are relatively habituated to visitors) and a boardwalk trail through mangrove forest.
