Behind a pair of unmarked, yellow-painted wooden doors down a narrow alley off Hurumzi Street sits Zanzibar's only Hindu temple, established in 1958 and still active for Stone Town's small Gujarati community. It's easy to walk past without noticing — there's no signage aimed at tourists.

The temple's interior is reserved for worshippers; visitors are welcome to view the exterior and courtyard, including the temple's distinctive small towers, but should not expect to go inside. Most visitors fold it into a longer Stone Town walking route.

Because entry is restricted, there's no fixed admission or booking process; it's simply a point of interest to walk to and view respectfully from outside.
