Kigomasha Beach lies on the Ras Kigomasha peninsula at the northwestern tip of Pemba Island, near Ngezi Forest. The peninsula is marked by the Ras Kigomasha Lighthouse, an all-cast-iron hexagonal tower built in 1904 by the Chance Brothers of Birmingham, standing 27 metres tall with a light visible up to 16 nautical miles. The surrounding area is a protected zone with an entrance fee, and Vumawimbi Beach, one of Pemba's most popular stretches of sand, lies just to the east.
