Zanzibar Cultural Arts Centre is a Zanzibar cultural site associated with craft centre, cultural centre.
Founded in 2006 by artist Hamad Hamad on Hamamni Street in Stone Town as a project to teach painting to local Zanzibaris, the Cultural Arts Centre has grown into a hub offering hands-on training in crafts such as soap-making, screen-printing and stationery production, often using recycled materials. Community members sell the resulting paintings, crafts and souvenirs on site, giving visitors a way to buy authentic, locally made goods while supporting the makers' livelihoods directly.
