Matemwe Beach Village is a mid-range guesthouse-style resort on a long palm-lined, white-sand beach on Zanzibar's northeast coast, with its own PADI dive centre on site. The property has around 23 simple bungalow-style rooms and a relaxed, low-key atmosphere rather than large-resort polish. Its main draw is proximity to the Mnemba Atoll just offshore, whose reef is regarded as some of the best diving and snorkelling in East Africa.
