Starfish Garden is a snorkelling site near Pingwe on the Michamvi peninsula, on Zanzibar's southeast coast, named for the hundreds of multicoloured starfish visible in its shallow, calm water. Visitors can typically see several starfish species here, including red-knobbed and cushion sea stars, alongside reef fish and other small marine life, in water shallow enough for children and beginner snorkellers to wade in and view the animals up close.
