Zanzibar Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) is the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar's state broadcaster, running ZBC Radio and ZBC TV from Karume House on Benjamin Mkapa Road in Stone Town. It is the archipelago's oldest broadcaster, descended from Sauti ya Unguja ('Voice of Zanzibar'), which went on air in 1951 as the first radio station in sub-Saharan Africa, and today provides the islands' main state-run television and radio news and programming.
