About
A natural limestone cave with a freshwater swimming pool near Jambiani on Zanzibar's southeast coast, run as a small culture centre offering cave swimming alongside Swahili food, music and craft demonstrations.
Kuza Cave is a natural limestone cavern near Jambiani on Zanzibar's southeast coast, formed over thousands of years and holding a clear freshwater pool used for swimming. It is run as a small community culture centre rather than a bare tourist stop: alongside cave swimming, visitors can watch Swahili music and dance performances, try local craft demonstrations, and eat Zanzibari food cooked on site, making it as much a cultural experience as a natural one.
