Shakti Temple is a Zanzibar cultural site associated with hindu temple, architecture.
Known locally as the Shree Shiv Shakti Mandir, Shakti Temple is a small Hindu temple established in 1958, tucked into the alleyways off Hurumzi Street in Stone Town. It is one of only two Hindu temples on Zanzibar, dedicated to the goddess Shakti, the divine feminine energy, and serves primarily the island's Gujarati community. Its towers show simple but colourful architectural detail; visitors are welcome to view the temple from outside, though entry is reserved for Hindu worshippers.
