Baraka Natural Aquarium is a turtle rehabilitation site in Nungwi village at Zanzibar's northern tip, built around a natural pool enclosed by coral rock where seawater exchanges with the tide. Green sea turtles rescued from fishermen are cared for and rehabilitated here before being released back to the ocean, and in the meantime visitors can swim or snorkel alongside them and feed them fresh seaweed under a guide's supervision, who also explains the rescue and rehabilitation process.
