About
Kidichi Spice Farm is a Zanzibar attraction associated with spice farm, farm visit.
Kidichi Spice Farm sits near the Kidichi Persian Baths, built in 1850 by Sultan Seyyid Said for his Persian wife Scheherezade as a place to relax after hunting trips; the domed steam rooms and stucco interior were designed by Shirazi-influenced architects. Kidichi is also where the first clove trees were introduced to Zanzibar in the early 1800s, seeding the crop that later defined the island's economy. Tours here typically combine the spice plantation โ cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and vanilla โ with a walk through the historic bath ruins.
