The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, Natural Resources and Livestock is the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar's ministry for farming, natural-resource policy, irrigation infrastructure and livestock development, based at Nyangumi House in Maruhubi. It sets agricultural policy for both Unguja and Pemba, an archipelago where smallholder cultivation of cloves, coconuts and other crops remains central to the rural economy, and coordinates forestry and livestock programmes alongside irrigation schemes.
